What is the best time to visit Uganda for gorilla trekking and safaris?
The best time for gorilla trekking and safaris in Uganda is during the dry seasons: June to September and December to February. During these periods, trails are less muddy, and wildlife is easier to spot near water sources. However, Uganda’s weather is generally favourable year-round, and you can trek gorillas even during the rainy seasons, which are quieter since it is a low season for guests here.
How do I book a gorilla trekking permit?
Gorilla trekking permits can be arranged through me as part of your tour package. Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) sets the price for permits, and they often sell out months in advance. I recommend booking at least 3–6 months prior to your trip to secure your preferred dates.
